More Americans Pour Milk Before Cereal Than Strongly Support Democrats

A recent survey has uncovered an interesting and somewhat surprising trend among Americans: more people are now pouring milk into their bowls before adding cereal (11%), compared to those who feel strongly about the Democrats doing a “very” positive job.

What's Happening:

The Democratic Party's popularity has plummeted to an unprecedented low, with only 27% of registered voters viewing it positively, according to a recent NBC News poll. This marks the lowest approval since tracking began in 1990.

Key reasons for the slump:

Dissatisfaction among Democratic voters following the 2024 loss to President Donald Trump.
Frustration over Democratic leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, siding with Republicans on a GOP-authored spending bill.
A growing preference for resistance over compromise within the party base.

Notably, there's been a dramatic shift in Democratic voter sentiment:

65% now favor holding firm on party positions, even if it results in political gridlock.
In contrast, during Trump's first term, most Democrats preferred bipartisan compromise.
Many within the party believe stronger opposition is necessary, even at the risk of government shutdowns or legislative stalemate.

The Democrats' record-low popularity highlights deep internal divisions that could hurt their chances in upcoming elections. Key concerns include:

Legislative paralysis: With more Democrats rejecting compromise, progress on major policies could stall.
